On July 21, 2017 we will be present at the Open House for JSANO Summer Program.

Look for our representatives and ask them what is in the plans for celebrating Kirkland Lake's 100th Anniversary in 2019.


On July 1, 2017 we were present at the Canada Day Celebrations at the Museum of Northern History with information on some of the upcoming plans for celebrating Kirkland Lake's 100th Anniversary as we work towards 2019.

Available for purchase were: Post Cards with a unique KL100 Stamp and KL100 Fridge Magnets (You can use them to inform family and friends of our upcoming festivities).

We also had "Photo Cut-outs" on hand for patrons to have some fun having there picture taken.

On June 24, 2017 we were present at the “Toburn Day in the Park” with information on some of the upcoming plans for celebrating Kirkland Lake's 100th Anniversary as we work towards 2019.

Available for purchase were: Post Cards with a unique KL100 Stamp and KL100 Fridge Magnets (You can use them to inform family and friends of our upcoming festivities), Miner Helmets and Miner’s Ore Samples.

We also had "Photo Cut-outs" on hand for patrons to have some fun having there picture taken.

On May 12th and 13th we promoted "Kirkland Lake - Then and Now", a pictorial journey of Kirkland Lake and area from 1919 to today, at Merchant Mania. Committee members were on hand with information on some of the upcoming plans for celebrating KL's 100th Anniversary as we work towards 2019.

We had a free draw for a very special gift basket celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday that visitors to the booth could enter their names in. The winner of the draw was Denise Taillon.

On February 18, 2017 we hosted a Free Kids Bowl Event in conjunction with the 2017 Kirkland Lake Winter Carnival.

Several Community Outreach Meetings have been held to receive input from Kirkland Lake and our surrounding communities. It is only with the active participation of all that we will enable a celebration of the magnitude that we envision.

On January 1, 2017 we kicked off our awareness campaign with a New Year’s Skate at the new Civic Service Stadium Outdoor Rink.
